I'm 16 and have no spots (finally) but there is still looooooads of blackheads around my nose, anyone have any advice on how to get rid of them? How do you get rid of blackheads?
St. Ives Apricot Acne Scrub.
It helps me out, overall. We all get big blackheads in my family, but it helps and it works or reducing the numbers that pop up.
And, I know you'll probably feel weird, but they have a clay mask that you can put on every other night or once a week or however you feel comfortable with it. It really, really helps with the size.
You could also use an astringent. Use that once a week -- I do it for sensitive skin and more than that and I'm RED.How do you get rid of blackheads?
Well personally, I dont have spots either but i have minor blackheads, LOL. sometimes they feel nasty and rough on my nose. I use 2 things and usually interchange them time to time. I use the Youthful Essence microdermabrasion on my while. I scrub that thing on my nose too and it works because it exfoliates your skin b/c it contains some mineral crystals.
I used to to the Biore nose strip pores. I still do once in a while and they work good. I notcied that it i use 1 every month, It takes out alot of black head rather than using it 1 every 2 weeks. Try those! good luck
Many years ago I used a skin cleaning product that had scrubbing granules of polyethylene (something like ';Pernox';, IIRC), but now I just use a scrubbing pad.
Both techniques seem to remove the darkened plugs and make the holes seem smaller.
My dad used to squeeze his nose and GAAAAH, that looked awful!!!
You can try going for facials, there are facials for men, that get rid of all sorts of skin problems.
There are also so called nose strips which you can use once a week. The nose strips are used by many women, I'm sure you can use them as well.
Hope it works!
I had the same problem and here are a few things that lead to them dissappearing.
1) I ALWAYS exfoliate... this means use a scrub like the one from St. Ives its an apricot scrub and scrub hard while in a HOT shower... remember scrub hard and a lot.
2) Biore or any kind of strips that rip some out. Leave the strip on until it is REALLY dry then pull slowly.
3) Another thing but it hurts is take a card... such as an id or something wash it and put alcohol on it... slide it on your nose to push them out... I so this like once every six months and it's amazing how well it works... they also sell the actual tool at somewhere like a SAlly's Beauty supply store but it works just as well.
4) Last and not least The daily facials... They are dry cloths then you get it wet and wash your face with them... Walmart has a great line (in a pink box that says daily facial clothes) Use these after the gym, in the middle of the day whenever because they are handy and work very well.
5) antibacterial wash is great for your whole body but remember to ALWAYS moisturize.
6) a facial isn't a bad idea and you would be suprised that a lot of men do it... it's relaxing and great for your skin!
7) Biologica Face products has a overnight blemis remover that I put on my black heads if they get bad and they are gone in about 2 days.
I know it sound like a lot but any mixture of these is bound to so something... I have had horrible acne and black heads since I was 12 I finally started this regimen and now people actually compliment me on my skin and I LOVE it! Good luck!
i dont know but im going to keep tuned in this because i have the exact same problem! good luck
