Getting a facial does wonders, and so does change in diet. Try eating organic foods, not much sugar, and limit dairy and white flour (eat multigrain and whole wheat breads) and a lot of leafy green vegetables. and drink as much water a day as you can. Also try taking a small dose of zinc, it helps the skin.
If you are looking for a natural/home remedy type thing, try an egg white mask... just break open an egg and spread on your face and let it dry... it sounds gross but it will help.
Keep it simple, wash your face twice a day with something gentle, and then exfoliate maybe twice a week with a gentle scrub. and always apply an oil free face lotion.
If it were me, I would splurge on the facial... the facialist can give you great advice on keeping a routine after that... think of it as a new start.
