Blackheads?

what's a way to get rid of them that really works?

:(Blackheads?
First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone!

I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.

are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.

Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.

Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.

Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.Blackheads?
there are these strips that you put on your nose, and then pull them off, the blackheads come right off

they are Bior strips and are about $5 at drug stores
my facialist, puts a steam on my skin, which u can achieve simply by boiling water and putting your face over it to steam it. the longer you steam your skin (10 minutes or more) the more your pores open which makes it easier to push them out. wear rubber gloves or keep cotton or tissue handy to wrap around ur fingers, look in a mirror (a magnifying mirror is best) and gently squeeze them out, the nose usually has the most. then remember to use a good toner on your skin and apply a facial mask. your skin will definitely look healthier and feel refreshed.
There are a lot of skin facial rubs on the market, in chemist shops....If you want to make a cheap skin rub...Two teaspoons of unsweetened yogurt and add a teaspoon of sand...mix and rub into affected area. It will make a gritty type cream and should do the trick.
Each time you wash your face, scrub with some type of abrasive (but not too abrasive) cloth or sponge. Eventually, it will cleanse the blackheads out without leaving a ';holes'; as pores. They just fill back up with dirt anyways. Using this technique will cleanse them but not completely pull them out and give your pores time to heal and close up slowly.
Washing your affected area more than once per day, with some type of cleanser, like Noxema. Try sensitive cleansers first...if they don't work, you may have to go to a skin doctor for a prescription.
This should help. Rub oatmeal paste on face, leave it to dry for 15 minutes before washing off with cold water. Beat white part of an egg. Add one teaspoon of honey and with a cotton swab, apply it on face. Keep it around half an hour and then rinse with warm water. This is also good for blackheads and dark spots. I've been trying for 10 years with no luck!
